Homework Club
First Generation College Bound’s Homework Club has been serving students since 1992. The program supports 50+ students living in Kimberly Gardens, a low-income residential community in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Staffed by certified teachers, Homework Club provides structured homework assistance and academic enrichment in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Two Program Tracks
- Homework Club I: Grades 1–6
- Homework Club II: Grades 7–12
Each track is designed to meet students at their developmental stage while building strong academic foundations.

What Students Receive
Students participate in two hours of learning each week over a 30-week school year, with small group instruction (1 instructor for every 10–15 students).
In addition to homework support, students:
Engage in leadership development activitiesÂ
Participate in cultural and enrichment experiencesÂ
Receive supplemental academic instructionÂ
Connect with positive role models from their community
Gain exposure to early college preparation and long-term planning
Homework Club helps students build the skills, confidence, and mindset needed for success — long before they begin applying to college.
