Anil Kochhar, Chair External Affairs Committee

Anil Kochhar chairs the External Affairs Committee for First Generation College Bound. He is a Lead Medical Device Reviewer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he works to improve patient outcomes through the evaluation and oversight of innovative medical technologies.

Anil brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare innovation, regulatory science, and medical technology. Prior to joining the FDA, he spent nearly 20 years as Senior Professional Staff at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, working across areas including medical devices, infection surveillance, diagnostics, and healthcare delivery in both military and civilian settings. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
