Doris A. Reed, Member Governance Committee

Doris A. Reed is a member of the Governance Committee for First Generation College Bound and the retired Executive Director of the Association of Supervisory and Administrative School Personnel (ASASP), where she led the organization for nearly three decades. She brings extensive experience in union administration, labor relations, personnel management, and leadership development. Earlier in her career, Doris worked in two U.S. Senate offices in Washington, DC, managing constituent affairs and information systems. She has also held leadership roles in civic and labor organizations, including the National Women’s Political Caucus, the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee, and the American Federation of School Administrators. 

Doris holds a B.S. in Personnel and Labor Management from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Union Administration and Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
