Community Bag Program

Throughout November, FGCB will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.75 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the 1009 Fairlawn Avenue, Laurel, MD, 20707 Giant location.

The Giant Food Community Bag Program, which launched in July 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal of making a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

First Generation College Bound was selected as the (NOVEMBER) beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Giant Food located at 1009 Fairlawn Street, Laurel, MD. First Generation College Bound will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.75 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location ONLY, during the month of NOVEMBER.

First Generation College Bound is a nonprofit based in Laurel, MD and has been around for over 30 years, helping young people to realize the dream of being the first in their families to obtain a college degree. FGCB exist to inspire youth from low-income and first generation families to achieve social & economic success by providing advice, encouragement, & support to obtain a college degree.
