Help First-Generation Students Earn a College Degree
No student succeeds alone. Behind every college acceptance and every first day on campus is a network of people who believe in students and invest in their future. When you get involved with FGCB, you become part of the network helping first-generation and low-income students overcome barriers, persist in college, and graduate.
Ways to Make an Impact
Partner as a business, school, or community organization.
Volunteer at care-package assemblies, events, or special projects.
Donate to fund one-on-one coaching and college success support.
Every contribution helps remove obstacles and open doors.
Why It Matters
Nationally, many first-generation students never enroll after being accepted and too many who enroll do not finish. FGCB walks alongside students from high school through college graduation to change that outcome.
Your involvement helps ensure students don’t just get into college — they graduate.

College Access School Sites
FGCB partners with nine high schools in Prince George’s County to provide targeted, on-site college access support to expand opportunity for students with the greatest financial need. We work directly within these school communities to help students prepare for, enroll in, and complete college. – This language should be anywhere where the Find Your School box is located. I assume changing it once will change it in any footer where it appears.
The program generates a blanket of help and support similar to that of a "domino effect," the triumph regenerates from generation-to-generation in our family starting from the eldest sibling to the youngest.
