Why It Matters
Nationally, many first-generation students never enroll after being accepted and too many who enroll do not finish. FGCB walks alongside students from high school through college graduation to change that outcome.

College Access School Sites
FGCB partners with nine high schools in Prince George’s County to provide targeted, on-site college access support to expand opportunity for students with the greatest financial need. We work directly within these school communities to help students prepare for, enroll in, and complete college. – This language should be anywhere where the Find Your School box is located. I have not worked with any person who is any more professional and more caring about the population he serves than Joe Fisher. Joe serves as a mother-father-sister-brother to all the students in his program. He’s called me late at night, he’s called me early in the morning. He’s one of the strongest advocates I’ve ever seen for students, not only in trying to get them admitted but also in trying to get them the financial resources to be able to go to school.
