Deja R. Cobbs is a 2007 graduate of New Town High School in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduation, she continued her studies at Towson University and the University of Maryland School of Social Work earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, respectively. Deja has interned with Mentor Maryland and has worked with Catholic Charities Baltimore, the University of Maryland Government & Community Affairs Office, and has served as the Program Coordinator for the Bioscience Research Summer Internship Program supported by the late Congressman Elijah Cummings.

Most recently, Deja joined the First Generation College Bound team as their Way2GoMaryland case manager in 2016, and is now serving as the Director of Program Services. In 2018 she became a Certified Professional Life Coach. Deja is a Youth Motivational Speaker with a desire to share messages of self-esteem and ability, healthy relationships, faith, and education goal setting. Deja is a very proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is passionate about working with youth and families in the areas of education, counseling, and workforce development.
